The Maristow Estate - Plymouth

The Maristow Estate extends to 6,000 acres with the land rising from the Tavy Estuary to around 600 feet above sea level providing the topography for the characteristically stunning presentation of classic driven high Devon pheasant and partridge shooting.

Having 10 main drives, differing levels of team's capabilities can be tailored to suit the day. Signature drives such as The Rock, Small Valley, Maddicotts and Southwood will tease and test the best of shoots…

Each drive and gun peg are very easily accessible and perfect for all levels of fitness.

Maristow lends itself perfectly to both single and double gun days as well as back-to-back days.

  • Daily bag volumes can be from a minimum of 250 birds up to 400 plus. 
  • Estate loaders can be provided on request. 
  • Own 4x4 transport is recommended on shoot days, with notice suitable transport can be organised.

Access to the shoot is very good by road, rail or air; Plymouth Airport is only 10 minutes away and space for helicopters is also available upon special request.

Maristow Lodge

Accommodation is offered at the deluxe 5 star Maristow Barton lodge. All 8 double bedrooms ( of which 3 can be twins if required ) have private luxurious bathroom facilities. 

The lodge has been specified to cater for all typical shooting party's requirements and has a large well appointed drawing room, dining room, secure gun room and a wireless broadband facility.

Our sous chef from The New Angel restaurant in Dartmouth prepares catering to the highest of standards using only the freshest local produce. The menu is designed by the Celebrity and Michelin star chef John Burton Race and offers a fantastic selection of options for dinner. Menus are made available to pre-order in advance. We are able to accommodate specific dietary requirements.

Maristow Barton Lodge accommodation prices:

  • Full board accommodation to include bed and breakfast a scrumptious four-course dinner and all wines and spirits - £2,000 including VAT per night for a team of 8 guns.
  • Bed and Breakfast - £1,500 including VAT for teams of 8 guns.
